The new version of Quilting Studio now has fabric uploading. You can upload 100 fabrics to allow you to plan your quilt using your actual fabrics. Just take a picture with your phone of your fabric. Take an image that shows approximately 6 inches of fabric. The uploader will automatically save a square portion of the image so you don’t have to do any editing. Or you can upload fabric images from somewhere else in any of the standard image formats (JPEG, PNG, or GIF).
Included with this update is the ability to manage your list of uploaded fabrics. You can easily see a list of your fabrics for renaming or deleting. Give it a try at QuiltingStudio.com
The section of the site where you manage your quilts and blocks joins the all new version of Quilting Studio. Feel free to create lots of blocks. It’s now super easy to rename or delete stuff to keep only your best work.
Now you can create your own new quilt blocks with the “Block Creation” function of Quilting Studio. It’s easy. Just hit the “Add Shapes” button and pick the type of shape you want. There are square, rectangles, right triangles, isosceles triangles, diamonds and ellipses.
You can put them on separate layers so that groups of shapes will have the same fabric applied to them.
You can adjust them by selecting the shape you want to edit and then using the movement and sizing buttons. Or, you can fine tune the size and location by editing the numbers next to the shapes in the list.
And, of course, it all works great on your phone, tablet, or computer.
Try it out!
